Deng Jianling, General Manager and Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of China Huaneng Group Co., Ltd., attended the sub-forum of "Building a supply-demand relationship for green hydrogen energy" in Beijing by video and made a speech.
Deng Jianling said that China Huaneng attaches great importance to the energy system reform brought by the future large-scale development of hydrogen energy, and plans to build the hydrogen energy industry into an important strategic support for the company's green development during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period. At present, we are increasing investment in green hydrogen technology research and development, taking the lead in carrying out research and demonstration of off-grid wind power dynamic hydrogen production, actively building large-scale hydropower hydrogen production demonstration projects, and steadily promoting the research and development demonstration of hydrogen fuel cell technology. It is the consensus of the world to vigorously develop renewable energy, and hydrogen energy plays an irreplaceable role in connecting renewable energy storage and regulating energy. Green hydrogen industry is a very promising industry, which will bring huge business opportunities to the future economic transformation and development.
According to the prediction of China Hydrogen Energy Alliance, the output value of China's hydrogen energy industry will reach 1 trillion yuan by 2025. By 2050, the demand for hydrogen will be close to 60 million tons, and the carbon dioxide emission reduction will be about 700 million tons. Hydrogen energy accounts for more than 10% of China's terminal energy system, and the annual output value of the industrial chain will reach 12 trillion yuan, becoming a new growth pole leading economic development.
Sun Wei, General Manager of Baoguang Lianyue Hydrogen Energy Development Co., Ltd., said in an interview with reporters that the hydrogen energy industry chain involves many links and application scenarios, and has broad development space. Driven by the goal of carbon peak and carbon neutrality, China's hydrogen energy industry is stepping into the fast lane of development, releasing plans for the hydrogen energy industry in many places, and accelerating the layout of the hydrogen energy industry. The trillion-yuan hydrogen energy track has attracted much attention, and many enterprises have also started to layout quickly.
While all parties have accelerated the layout, some "pain points" faced by the development of hydrogen energy industry have also received attention. Among them, reducing the cost of hydrogen production is an inextricable topic.
Electrolytic water hydrogen production using renewable energy is currently the process with the lowest carbon emission among many hydrogen source schemes.
At present, the cost of hydrogen production has reached more than 10 yuan per kilogram of green hydrogen, and the cost will only be lower in the future. At present, the pain points in the process of hydrogen energy development also include hydrogen storage, transportation, downstream application and pipeline hydrogenation, which is a long process. In the aspect of storage and transportation, 20MPa gaseous high-pressure hydrogen storage and long-tube trailer transportation are widely used in China at present, with a cost of about 20 yuan/kg, accounting for half of the terminal consumption price of hydrogen. However, the hydrogen storage density of gaseous transportation is low, and the compression energy consumption is high, which is only applicable to hydrogen stations with a daily demand of less than 300 kg and a short transportation distance. With the expansion of domestic hydrogen consumption scale and the extension of transportation distance in the future, 50MPa gaseous high-pressure hydrogen storage or liquid hydrogen transportation can meet the requirements of high efficiency and economy. From the perspective of the industry, hydrogen production must achieve coordinated and integrated development with storage, transportation and hydrogen use.
